We have an opening for a Pipe Test Operator position working at a contract manufacturing facility located in Decatur, AL. This is an evaluation-to-hire opportunity with potential for full-time placement.

 

Skills/Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

Prior pipe testing experience a plus.

Proficiency in reading and following directions without deviation.

Must have a working command of the English language and be able to communicate orally and in writing.

Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Focused and pays attention to detail.

 

Duties/Responsibilities

Conduct pressure test using Nitrogen/Hydrogen to a specified test pressure to detect leaks.

Set up and operate test equipment such as gaskets, flanges, gauges, couplings, rubber seal and nuts/bolts.

Conduct pressure testing in accordance with the latest revision of instructions number INS127, Pressurized Inert Gas – Weld Leak Test.

Detect and document weld defects, leaks, or other deficiencies during testing.

Maintain accurate test records, including pressure logs and leak reports.

Strictly follow safety protocols, including wearing proper PPE (safety glasses, gloves and safety shoes).
