Position Overview

The Corporate Buyer is responsible for overseeing product purchasing and activity of the locations’ buying team.

Key Responsibilities

·         Strategic sourcing & cost optimization: Develops and executes seafood purchasing strategies that meet customer needs while keeping costs and operations efficient.

·         Procurement & coordination: Manages buying processes and collaborates with internal teams (logistics, production, etc.) to ensure timely supply and smooth operations.

·         Supplier relationship management: Builds strong partnerships with suppliers to secure the best pricing, quality, and reliable long-term supply.

·         Market & sales alignment: Monitors market trends, analyzes sales and competition, and works with the sales team to support pricing, promotions, and product decisions.

·         Inventory & logistics oversight: Tracks inventory, forecasts demand, and ensures transportation and delivery schedules are followed correctly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Merchandising, or other related field preferred
• 3+ years of related experience
• Prior experience in the seafood industry
• Advanced knowledge in category management and product development.
