Job Title: Maintenance Technician
City and State: Marengo, IL
Pay Rate: $26.50 – $32.00/hour + $3.00/hour shift differential
Schedule/Shift: 2nd Shift
Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire
Summary:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing manufacturing equipment while ensuring safe and efficient operations. This role also supports preventative maintenance and assists with equipment installations and facility upkeep.
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment issues
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams to support machine repairs
- Assist with equipment installation, movement, and preventative maintenance tasks
- Maintain equipment records and inventory using CMMS and initiate purchase orders as needed
- Collaborate with managers and teams to ensure equipment operates efficiently and safely
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- 5–7 years of industrial maintenance experience (electrical, mechanical, hydraulics, pneumatics)
- Experience with CNC machine repair preferred
- Familiarity with PLC programming preferred
- Ability to work independently, including occasional overtime and weekends
