PM - Pipe Fitter Welder

Located in Winnsboro, TX

Salary: $22/hr - $27/hr

Express Employment Professionals is seeking applicants for a PM - Pipe Fitter Welder position for a local Winnsboro, Tx company! We are a full-service Staffing Firm where we work with companies in East Texas that have full-time, part-time and temporary. Since we cannot guarantee placement, there is no fee for using our services!

In this role, you will:

• Verify conformance of work pieces to specifications using squares, rulers, and measuring tapes
• Weld steel members and assemble pipe and structural components according to technical drawings and blueprints
• Move steel members into position manually or with hoists and cranes
• Position, align, fit, and tack weld parts to form complete units or subunits using jigs, welding torches, and hand tools
• Determine the most efficient method and sequence of tasks to complete fabrication projects
• Conduct quality checks to identify and correct defects, ensuring finished products meet quality standards
• Assist foremen and managers with maintaining workflow and production goals on the shop floor
• Coach and train lower-level fitters to help develop their skill sets
• Ensure all team members are following safety procedures and company policies

We like to hear from candidates with the following:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in steel fabrication or welding
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
• Strong knowledge of fitting, welding, and steel fabrication processes
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, pipe-cutting/threading equipment, and measuring tools
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
• Ability to lift and maneuver 50–100 lbs
• Comfortable working in sustained physical positions including standing, kneeling, and crouching
• Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work well in a team environment
