Carpenter/Lead Carpenter! Competitive Pay, Consistent Work, and Weekends Off!

Salary: $25.00-35.00/hr

Job Summary: Express Employment Professionals is hiring a hands-on residential carpenter and lead carpenter for a local company in Whatcom County. This role includes rough and finish carpentry such as framing, decking, trim, and siding on new builds and remodels. Lead Carpenters will also read plans, oversee daily jobsite activity, and support materials and client communication as needed. Candidates must have 2+ years of carpentry experience (4+ years for Lead roles), be able to lift 50+ lbs, use hand and power tools, work outdoors, and maintain strong safety and reliability standards.

 

Pay: Earn $25.00-$35.00 per hour to start!
Shift: Monday-Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
Position Type: Evaluation Hire
Location: Custer, WA

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Perform rough and finish carpentry, including framing, decking, trim, and siding

• Read and interpret construction plans

• Lead or support daily job tasks on residential builds and remodels

• Maintain organized, clean, and safe job sites

• Follow safety protocols and wear required PPE

• Assist in managing materials, timelines, and site logistics

• Communicate with crew and clients as appropriate

 

Qualifications

• Lead Carpenter: 4+ years residential carpentry experience; comfortable leading crews and solving job-site issues

• Carpenter: 2+ years’ experience preferred; must be dependable, skilled, and safety-minded

• Ability to lift 50+ lbs, use power tools, and work outdoors in varying conditions

• Strong work ethic, reliability, and respectful attitude required
