We are seeking a skilled Robotic Welder for night shift operations to join our Automotive manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating robotic welding equipment to produce high-quality welded components, primarily in the construction, ductwork, and manufacturing sectors. This role requires a strong understanding of welding techniques, mechanical systems, and safety protocols to ensure efficient and precise production.
Pay rate: $19/hour - $22/hour + 4% vacation pay ( based on experience )
Nights: 11:00PM-7:15AM
Duties
- Operate robotic welding systems, including MIG and TIG welding processes, to fabricate metal components according to schematics and blueprints
- Perform rigging and setup of welding equipment and robotic arms for various projects
- Conduct plasma cutting, press brake machine operations, and machining tasks as needed for component preparation
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate assembly and fabrication
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, calipers, and other measuring instruments to verify dimensions and quality standards
- Assist with assembly of ductwork, structural components, or other fabricated parts following detailed specifications
- Maintain safety standards by adhering to safety protocols during all operations, including proper use of personal protective equipment
- Perform routine maintenance on robotic systems and manual tools to ensure optimal performance
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating robotic welding systems or similar automated manufacturing equipment.
- Strong understanding of welding techniques, metallurgy, and safety procedures.
- Previous work experience in an automotive manufacturing environment preferred.
- Knowledge of weld equipment
- Knowledge of weld penetration is an asset
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent English skills both oral and written.
- Robotic welding: 2 years (required)
