Position Overview

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join a busy healthcare team in Lubbock. This role combines both clinical and administrative responsibilities, making it ideal for someone who enjoys patient interaction while supporting office operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist healthcare providers during patient exams and procedures
• Take and record vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, respiration)
• Prepare patients for examinations and assist with minor procedures
• Schedule appointments and maintain accurate patient records
• Manage billing and insurance information
• Accurately code and document patient information
• Educate patients on medications and self-care instructions
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked clinical environment

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to accurately document and code patient information
• Experience taking vital signs and assisting with patient care
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred
