Maintenance Technician - St Gabriel - D188

Pay: $20–$38/hr. DOE
Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Location: Shop-Based Position (No Travel or Per Diem)

 

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to support the repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of equipment and facilities in an industrial fabrication environment. This position is responsible for minimizing downtime by ensuring machinery, tools, vehicles, and building systems operate safely and efficiently.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair industrial equipment, overhead cranes, forklifts, cherry pickers, machine tools, and power tools.
• Perform facility maintenance, including electrical, plumbing, hydraulic, HVAC, and utility systems repairs.
• Maintain and repair boring mills, lathes, drills, air systems, and other shop equipment.
• Read blueprints, technical manuals, and drawings to diagnose and resolve issues.
• Follow OSHA regulations and company safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and complete assigned maintenance tasks efficiently.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience in a fabrication, manufacturing, or industrial environment.
• Experience with hydraulics, electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and machining equipment.
• Proficiency troubleshooting N/C (numeric control) equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and measuring devices.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and FileMaker preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in industrial environments.
• Must be able to stand, bend, climb, and work in confined or elevated spaces as needed.
