Estimator - St Gabriel - D187

Pay: $30–$45/hr. DOE

 

Express Employment Professionals is seeking an experienced Estimator to prepare accurate commercial and technical bids for projects in the refinery, fabrication, and industrial services industries. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of welding, machining, fabrication, heat exchangers, vessels, towers, and nondestructive examination, along with a proven estimating background.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Review customer drawings, specifications, and bid documents.
• Prepare detailed labor, material, and subcontract cost estimates.
• Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, and management to develop competitive proposals.
• Submit bids, respond to customer inquiries, and follow up on proposals.
• Process orders, change orders, and communicate project requirements to internal teams.
• Monitor project requirements, schedules, material lead times, and customer deadlines.

Qualifications:

• Estimating experience with a verifiable record of success.
• Refinery industry experience and mechanical and/or piping background preferred.
• Engineering, Construction Management, Operations Management degree, or equivalent industry experience.
• Strong knowledge of fabrication, welding, machining, heat exchangers, vessels, and related industrial processes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
