Box Truck Driver

Salary: $18.00 - $21.00

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate company trucks or delivery vehicles while following all DOT regulations and company safety procedures.
• Transport and deliver products, materials, and equipment to customer sites, warehouses, and designated delivery locations on scheduled routes.
• Load, secure, and unload materials while ensuring cargo is handled properly to prevent damage during transport.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, checking brakes, tires, fluid levels, lights, and overall vehicle condition.
• Maintain accurate delivery records, shipping paperwork, bills of lading, and obtain customer signatures when required.
• Verify inventory and confirm all materials match delivery orders before departing for scheduled deliveries.
• Communicate with dispatch, warehouse personnel, and customers regarding delivery schedules, delays, and route changes.
• Assist with warehouse duties, material staging, and general loading/unloading operations when not on delivery routes.
• Follow GPS routes, optimize delivery schedules, and maintain efficient time management throughout daily operations.
• Represent Systel professionally by providing excellent customer service during deliveries and customer interactions.
• Maintain cleanliness and basic preventative maintenance of assigned company vehicle.
• Adhere to all company policies regarding safety, transportation compliance, and proper equipment handling.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a delivery driver, route driver, box truck driver, or commercial driver preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record required.
• CDL preferred but not required (depending on vehicle type).
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds consistently throughout the shift.
• Experience loading/unloading materials in warehouse or distribution environments preferred.
• Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and defensive driving practices.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and maintain strict delivery deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills and professional attitude when interacting with customers.
