POSITION SUMMARY:  Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job while working to effectively meet or exceed productivity goals while maintaining high quality standards in industrial manufacturing setting.

**Pay Range $15 to $19 Hour as follows:

 

 Tier 1:       Must be willing to work, be punctual, willing to learn, and able to follow instructions. No Experience Required $15 Hour

 

  Tier 2:      Has worked in a manufacturing setting.  Has general manufacturing knowledge of tools, machines, blueprints, reading tape measures, tow motors, material handling, scrap, writing, reading, good attitude and good attendance $17 Hour

 

  Tier 3:      Has proven manufacturing skills (resume), has run a mill, press, tow motor or has been a material handler for an extended period of time.  Again, proven to be  experienced.    $19 Hour

  8. Ability to listen attentively
  9. Manage their time to complete several tasks in one shift
  10. Work in teams under supervisor, so must have good interpersonal skills
  11. Keep manufacturing areas free of debris and dirt
  12. Set out or put away tools
  13. Follow instructions from more experienced employees to operate machines, hold or supply materials and tools
  14. Load and unload items from machines and assembly lines
  15. Locate parts and tag them with identifying numbers
  16. Must be able to report problems to higher-level employees, and if necessary assist with any fixes
  17. Factory jobs require general laborers on a production line to stand in place for long hours at a time
  18. Entry-level workers may work as machine operators, or they may assist enxperienced operators by retrieving tools and supplies or moving finished products to a staging area
  19. Ability to learn their skills informally while working with more experienced employees or after some training from supervisors 
  20. Laborers can advance with experience, training, good attitude and willingness to learn other positions

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. This position requires reading, writing, and math skills similar to those obtained through a high school educaiton or equivalent
  2. Must understand layouts, designs, specifications and schematics that show the  details of how something operates or is put together
  3. Formal training may be considered as substitution for experience requirements.  This will contribute to success in this position
  4. Ability to be aware of their surroundings to spot potential safety issues
  5. Familiarity with basic tools, such as hammers and screwdrivers

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Sit, stand and walk for 1-10 hours a day
  2. Lift, carry, push and/or pull 1-50 lbs. frequently
  3. Squat/kneel, bend/stoop, twist/turn, grasp and reach outward frequently
  4. Ability to work in a 65-88 degree Fahrenheit work environment
  5. Must were appropriate protective clothing
