Our Ajax client, a global manufacturer and supplier of self-adhesive label materials, is looking for a Slitter Operator to join their growing team!

Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor slitting machine to convert materials into finished products
• Set up and adjust machine parameters (speed, blade alignment, and tension) to ensure optimal performance
• Load and unload laminate rolls and materials onto equipment
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality and customer specifications
• Identify and report equipment malfunctions, defects, or process issues
• Maintain a steady supply of raw materials and production supplies to avoid downtime
• Assist with routine machine maintenance, cleaning, and shutdown procedures
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of hazards
• Adhere strictly to all safety, environmental, and company policies
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills:

• 1-2 years of experience operating a Slitting Machine or Industrial Machinery in Production setting
• Strong attention to detail and quality control
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
• Solid problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Comfortable lifting up to 50lbs
• Basic computer skills for data input

Bonus Qualifications:

• Experience in paper converting or label manufacturing environments
• Great work ethic, and positive attitude

Compensation and Hours:

• Monday to Friday
• Training: 6:30am to 3:00pm
• Rotational Shift: 8:30am to 5:00pm / 10:30am to 7:00pm
• Pay Rate: $25 per hour
