Express Employment Professionals is currently seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist for a valued local client. This position is ideal for someone with strong organizational skills, accounting knowledge, and experience with QuickBooks Online.

Position Overview

The Accounting Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting daily accounting operations, and assisting with payroll and reporting functions. This role plays a key part in ensuring financial data integrity and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Record day-to-day financial transactions (sales, purchases, receipts, and payments)
• Maintain and update general ledger accounts
• Reconcile bank statements and company accounts
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
• Prepare and issue invoices
• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Ensure accuracy of financial data and resolve discrepancies
• Maintain organized financial records and documentation
• Assist with tax filings and audit preparation as needed
• Process payroll, including tracking employee time

Qualifications

• Previous accounting or bookkeeping experience required
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online is required
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills

Preferred Skills

• Experience with payroll processing
