Training Specialist – Installation
Location: Sarasota, FLSchedule: Full-Time
We are seeking a hands-on Training Specialist to support the delivery of technical installation training programs. This role is ideal for someone with mechanical aptitude, installation experience, and strong communication skills who enjoys helping others learn and succeed. The Training Specialist will assist with instructor-led training, hands-on demonstrations, equipment preparation, and field training events while helping create an engaging learning experience for technicians and partners.
Responsibilities:
Training Delivery & Facilitation
Assist with instructor-led installation training programs
Lead hands-on exercises, demonstrations, and guided practice sessions
Provide coaching and troubleshooting support during training activities
Demonstrate proper use of tools, equipment, wiring, and mechanical components
Promote a safe, professional, and learner-focused training environment
Field & Event Support
Support training events at customer, dealer, or partner locations as needed
Assist with transportation, setup, and teardown of training equipment and materials
Represent the organization professionally when interacting with customers and partners
Training Preparation & Equipment Support
Prepare products, tools, fixtures, and training materials before each session
Maintain, inspect, and organize training equipment and demonstration units
Assist with evaluating training effectiveness and participant understanding
Training Content Support
Help update training materials, guides, and instructional resources
Provide feedback and real-world insights to improve training content and delivery
Qualifications:
Technical certificate, Associate degree, Bachelor's degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience
1–3 years of experience installing, servicing, or supporting mechanical or electromechanical products
Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on troubleshooting skills
Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical documentation
Strong verbal communication and coaching skills
Comfortable presenting to small and medium-sized groups
Organized, detail-oriented, and safety-conscious
Ability to explain technical concepts in a clear and practical manner
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel occasionally
Previous technical training, field service, installation, or customer-facing experience preferred
