CDL-A Lowboy Driver

Our client in Des Moines, IA is looking for a CDL-A Lowboy Driver!

We are seeking an experienced CDL-A Driver to operate a lowboy trailer for local equipment transportation. This position is ideal for a dependable professional who takes pride in safe driving practices, equipment handling, and providing excellent service.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class A commercial vehicle with a lowboy trailer to transport heavy equipment and materials.
• Load, secure, transport, and unload equipment according to safety regulations.
• Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of truck and trailer.
• Follow all DOT regulations, company policies, and safe operating procedures.
• Maintain accurate logs, paperwork, and delivery documentation.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members.
• Complete equipment checks and report any maintenance concerns.
• Ensure loads are properly secured before transport.
• Maintain a professional and safety-focused approach while representing the company.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required.
• Lowboy, heavy haul, or equipment hauling experience preferred.
• Clean driving record preferred.
• Experience securing and transporting heavy equipment preferred.
• Strong understanding of DOT regulations and safety procedures.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Must be dependable, safety-focused, and professional.

Hours

• Monday – Friday
• Day shift
• Local routes with daily home time
• Schedule may vary based on workload and deliveries

Pay

• $20+ (Depending on experience)
