Express Team Lead – Manufacturing Facility (Night Shift)

Location: Rincon, GA
Schedule: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM (12-hour shifts)
Work Schedule: Must be flexible to work weekends and extended schedules, including up to 7 days per week as business needs require.

Position Summary

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a dependable and hands-on Team Lead to oversee a workforce of 50+ temporary associates assigned to a manufacturing facility in Rincon, GA. This position serves as the primary point of contact between Express associates, the client, and Express management to ensure attendance, productivity, safety, and overall workforce performance.

The ideal candidate is a strong leader who can effectively coach employees, enforce workplace expectations, resolve issues professionally, and maintain a positive work environment while supporting the client's operational goals.

Key Responsibilities

Attendance & Workforce Management

• Monitor daily attendance and verify associates report to work as scheduled.
• Track and document tardiness, absences, and attendance trends.
• Ensure associates arrive to work, return from breaks, and leave work on time.
• Conduct headcounts and workforce audits throughout the shift.
• Communicate staffing shortages and attendance concerns to Express management.

Employee Supervision & Coaching

• Supervise and support 50+ Express associates during assigned shifts.
• Provide coaching, guidance, and corrective feedback when needed.
• Address performance concerns and document employee incidents.
• Assist with onboarding and training of new associates.
• Promote a positive team environment while maintaining accountability.

Safety & Compliance

• Enforce all client and Express safety policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular floor walks to identify unsafe behaviors or conditions.
• Ensure proper use of required PPE.
• Immediately report accidents, injuries, near misses, or safety concerns.
• Participate in safety meetings and communicate safety expectations to associates.

Performance Monitoring

• Monitor employee productivity and work quality.
• Ensure associates are following standard operating procedures.
• Identify opportunities for improved efficiency and workforce utilization.
• Recognize and communicate strong employee performance.

Communication & Reporting

• Serve as the liaison between Express Employment Professionals and the client.
• Provide shift updates regarding attendance, performance, safety incidents, and workforce concerns.
• Maintain accurate documentation and submit reports as required.
• Escalate employee relations issues to Express management promptly.

Employee Relations

• Address associate questions and concerns professionally.
• Assist with conflict resolution and promote teamwork.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding employee matters.
• Support employee engagement and retention efforts.

Qualifications

• Previous leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience preferred.
• Manufacturing, warehouse, or production environment experience preferred.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable coaching employees and holding team members accountable.
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance required.
• Ability to work extended hours, weekends, and rotating schedules as needed.

Physical Requirements
