Job Overview

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk with experience using QuickBooks Desktop. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing invoices, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting the accounting department with daily accounts payable functions.

Responsibilities

• Process and verify vendor invoices accurately and timely

• Enter accounts payable transactions into QuickBooks Desktop

• Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documents

• Prepare and process check runs and electronic payments

• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies

• Maintain organized and accurate financial records

• Assist with month-end closing activities

• Communicate professionally with vendors and internal departments

• Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Previous accounts payable experience required

• Proficiency with QuickBooks Desktop required

• Strong data entry and organizational skills

• Knowledge of basic accounting principles

• High attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

• Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Compensation & Benefits

• $18.00–$20.00 per hour, depending on experience (DOE)
