Position Overview The Journeyman Plumber will install, maintain, and repair plumbing systems while ensuring all work meets local codes and safety standards. This position requires strong troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain pipes, valves, fittings, plumbing fixtures, and drainage systems
• Perform plumbing work on residential and new construction projects
• Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and building plans
• Inspect plumbing systems and identify issues or potential problems
• Troubleshoot and repair water heaters, pressure tanks, pumps, and sewage ejector pumps
• Respond to plumbing service calls and emergency repairs as needed
• Collaborate with contractors, electricians, and other trades on project completion
• Accurately document services performed, materials used, and time worked
• Ensure compliance with all plumbing codes and safety regulations

Qualifications

• 1-3+ years of experience as a Journeyman Plumber
• Valid Montana State Plumbing License or ability to obtain within three months
• Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills
• Experience using hand and power tools
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
• Excellent communication and customer service skills

Required Skills & Knowledge

• Experience working with PVC, CPVC, PEX, cast iron, and copper piping systems
• Knowledge of plumbing codes, regulations, and safety requirements
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

Requirements

• Valid driver's license
• Must provide required tools (tool list available during interview process)
• Ability to pass pre-employment screening requirements

Compensation & Schedule

• Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour DOE
• Schedule: Full-time, day shift
