Position Overview
The Shipping & Receiving Clerk is responsible for accurately picking, packing, and shipping customer orders, as well as receiving, inspecting, and stocking incoming materials. This role supports inventory accuracy, production flow, and overall warehouse operations. The position requires strong attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work efficiently in a manufacturing environment.
Essential Functions

Pick, pack, and ship orders using FEDEX, UPS, and USPS

Receive, inspect, and stock incoming materials and supplies

Count raw materials, in-process items, and finished goods inventory

Maintain accurate records and follow established procedures

Perform additional warehouse or production support tasks as assigned

Communication Skills: Ability to interact effectively with suppliers, vendors, and production managers

Customer Service: Assist internal or external customers when retrieving or locating items

Detail Orientation: Inspect materials and products for defects, including small or hard-to-spot issues

Vision: Ability to distinguish colors and maintain visual acuity required for essential tasks

Language Skills: Ability to read, write, speak, and follow instructions in English

Dexterity: Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for handling parts and components

Math Skills: Ability to perform basic math, use computers, and measure in both English and metric units

Mechanical Skills: Ability to operate computers and robotic equipment on the production floor

Physical Stamina: Ability to stand or sit for extended periods (up to 4 hours) and perform repetitive tasks

Physical Strength: Ability to lift tools, components, equipment, and machinery up to 50 lbs

Technical Skills: Ability to understand work instructions, blueprints, and schematics
Job Requirements

High School Diploma, GED, or HSED required

2–3 years of shipping/receiving experience (medical device manufacturing preferred)

MSSC Certified Logistics Associate (CLA) or Certified Logistics Technician (CLT) preferred but not required

Completion of OSHA 30 training is a plus
