Salary: $21/hr

We are seeking a physically fit and reliable laborer to assist with a residential renovation project in the Norwood area. The primary responsibility of this role is to safely load, unload, and carry cabinets up multiple flights of stairs without damaging the walls, fixtures, or flooring.
 
Dates needed: July 13th & July 16th 
Schedule: 8am - 4:30pm
Pay Rate: $21/hr
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Safely lift, carry, and maneuver heavy, bulky cabinets  from delivery vehicles to designated upper-levels
  • Navigate interior and exterior stairs while carrying heavy loads, utilizing proper lifting mechanics and moving equipment
  • Clear pathways, cover flooring, and install temporary wall protectors in stairwells and hallways to prevent damage during transport.
  • Unpack delivery trucks and organize cabinets neatly on-site so they are easily accessible to the installation team
  • Assist in deconstruction by hauling old cabinets, discarded packaging, and construction debris down to disposal areas or dumpsters
  •  Adhere strictly to on-site safety protocols and handle all items with the utmost care to avoid scratches, dents, or property damage
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to lift and carry heavy, oversized objects (50+ lbs.) continuously for extended periods.
  • Excellent physical stamina to handle repetitive bending, lifting, and climbing stairs.
  • Previous experience in general labor, furniture moving, or assisting on construction/remodeling sites.
  • Meticulous care in protecting client property, finishes, and the items being transported.
  • Punctual, dependable, and capable of taking direction from lead carpenters or site supervisors.
