2nd Shift Manual Machinist – Sedalia, MO

We are seeking an experienced Manual Machinist for a 2nd shift opportunity in Sedalia, MO. This position includes paid training on 1st shift before transitioning to the permanent evening schedule.

Pay

• Training Period (1st Shift): $18.00 per hour

• After Transition to 2nd Shift: $20.00 per hour

Schedule

Training Schedule

• Monday – Friday

• 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Permanent 2nd Shift

• Monday – Friday

• 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM

Position Responsibilities

Machinists work from process controls, blueprints, and quality documentation to set up and operate work centers within the machine shop. Daily responsibilities include:

• Setting up and operating machining equipment

• Reading and interpreting blueprints and process documentation

• Using specified tooling and gauging to verify part quality and conformance to print specifications

• Maintaining accurate daily production records

• Cleaning and organizing work areas to ensure a safe and efficient work environment

• Following established quality and safety standards throughout the manufacturing process

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Machine Tool Technology and/or 3–5 years of CNC machining experience required

• Previous CNC operating experience required

• MUST HAVE PREVIOUS CNC Operating EXPERIENCE & have used calipers and micrometers. 

• Strong blueprint reading skills

• Proficiency in shop math, metric measurements, and unit conversions

• Understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team

• High attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
