Schedule:

• 1st Shift: Monday – Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• 3rd Shift: Sunday – Thursday | 9:30 PM – 6:00 AM
• All candidates will train on 1st Shift for up to one month

Pay Range:

• $18.00/hour – No experience required
• $19.00/hour – Previous metal shop experience, no paint experience
• $20.00/hour – Previous metal shop and paint experience

Express Employment is seeking Industrial Prep Workers for a growing manufacturing company in the Quad Cities area.

This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on work, take pride in quality craftsmanship, and thrive in a team-oriented production environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare parts for blasting and painting through sanding, grinding, cleaning, masking, and coating processes
• Operate hand and power tools including orbital sanders, pneumatic grinders, and other prep equipment
• Apply coatings and ensure materials meet customer and quality specifications
• Move, stage, transport, and organize materials throughout the production process
• Assist with packing, setup, and other production duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical labor throughout the shift
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
• Dependable attendance and ability to work in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications 

• Previous manufacturing or metal shop experience
• Previous paint prep, blasting, or industrial painting experience
• Forklift experience or willingness to become certified
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel
