Entry-Level Medical Assistant

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Entry-Level Medical Assistant to join a healthcare team. This position is ideal for individuals looking to start a career in healthcare while gaining valuable hands-on experience in a variety of clinical settings.

As a Medical Assistant, you will provide both administrative and clinical support to help ensure patients receive quality care. You will work alongside healthcare professionals, assist patients throughout their visits, and help maintain an organized and efficient medical environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with patient intake by collecting medical histories, verifying insurance information, and updating electronic medical records.
  • Measure and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
  • Support healthcare providers with patient care activities such as medication administration, wound care, and basic clinical procedures under supervision.
  • Prepare examination rooms by cleaning and sterilizing equipment and ensuring supplies are fully stocked.
  • Assist with diagnostic testing procedures when needed.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with healthcare standards and regulations.
  • Provide excellent patient service by answering questions, assisting with patient needs, and helping create a comfortable and welcoming environment.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Healthcare-related training, coursework, or certification is preferred but not required.
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology is beneficial.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to various healthcare specialties and clinical environments.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills when working with diverse patient populations.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record systems and medical documentation practices is a plus.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures, medication administration, or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is advantageous.
