Job Title: Pickup Driver for Lab

Job Type: Temporary Seasonal (June-November)

Hours: Need to have flexibility to rotate through shifts, weekend and holiday coverage as needed. (Monday - Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.)

Payrate: $20 per hour.

 

This position is primarily a driving role responsible for the timely pick-up and transportation of samples from client locations to our laboratory in Salinas. The driver will operate a company-provided vehicle and represent our client professionally while interacting with their clients during pick-ups.

 

We are looking for entry-level candidates who are reliable, organized, and interested in learning more about the food safety industry. Candidates must have a strong work ethic and good written and verbal communication skills.

 

Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

 

In addition to driving responsibilities, this position will assist with pallet sampling at customer locations and perform light facility maintenance and general upkeep tasks around the office and lab property as needed. This may include basic cleaning, organizing, and other support duties to help maintain a safe and professional work environment.

Training will be provided.

 

Clean DMV record required (DMV record must be submitted before assignment starts). Company vehicle with company insurance provided (due to insurance requirements must be at least 21 years of age).

 

 

 

RESPONSIBILITES:

-Receive Dispatch calls

-Retrieve samples from various locations

-Customer Service

-Sampling (Pallet Facility Sampling)

-Assist other departments as needed

-Fulfill duties assigned by management

 

REQUIREMENTS:

-Ability to lift 35+ lbs.

-Able to learn and follow SOP's and Work Instructions
