Operations Associate

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and execution-focused Operations Associate to support daily operational activities within a fast-paced distribution center environment. This role is responsible for managing order intake, coordinating outbound operations, and ensuring efficient fulfillment across direct-to-consumer (D2C), drop ship, and retail channels.

The Operations Associate serves as a key link between supply planning, customer operations, and warehouse execution, ensuring outbound orders are prioritized, routed, and fulfilled accurately and efficiently. This position works closely with warehouse personnel to support daily order processing and inventory allocation activities while helping maximize customer satisfaction and operational performance.

Key Responsibilities

Order Management & Execution

• Partner with Operations Management to determine inventory availability for drop ship and direct-to-consumer orders.
• Allocate inventory and manage order releases through Order Management Systems (OMS) and customer portals.
• Download, process, and upload daily sales orders into ERP systems while validating shipping methods and order requirements.
• Monitor order status and proactively resolve issues affecting fulfillment timelines.

Routing & Fulfillment Coordination

• Generate shipping labels and provide warehouse teams with documentation needed for picking, packing, and staging orders.
• Coordinate outbound shipments and ensure timely carrier pickups for both prepaid and collect freight.
• Monitor compliance with customer routing requirements and shipping guidelines.
• Process invoices and support revenue recognition activities.
• Maintain accurate shipment tracking information and ensure timely updates within internal systems.

Operational Support

• Collaborate with warehouse, customer service, and planning teams to support daily distribution operations.
• Assist in inventory allocation decisions to maximize order fulfillment performance.
• Identify and resolve order, inventory, or shipping discrepancies.
• Support process improvement initiatives that increase efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas and data analysis functions.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Experience working in a fast-paced distribution, logistics, or supply chain environment.
• Experience with ERP, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and Order Management Systems (OMS).
• Strong understanding of inventory allocation, order processing, and fulfillment workflows.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing B2C and/or D2C order flow.
• Familiarity with retail compliance requirements, routing guides, and EDI processes.
• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related field.
