This position offers up to $30.00 per hour based on experience, a consistent Monday-Friday schedule, and the opportunity to put your diesel repair, diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and mechanical troubleshooting skills to work in a professional shop environment.

Diesel Mechanic Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on diesel trucks, heavy equipment, engines, and mechanical systems.
- Diagnose diesel engine, transmission, hydraulic, electrical, and equipment problems.
- Use computer-based diagnostic tools and software to identify mechanical and performance issues.
- Complete preventive maintenance and scheduled service on trucks and equipment.
- Inspect equipment and identify components requiring repair or replacement.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Complete repair orders and maintenance documentation accurately.
- Maintain detailed service and equipment maintenance records.
- Help ensure fleet and equipment maintenance complies with applicable DOT requirements.
- Follow company safety procedures, maintenance protocols, and workplace standards.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop environment.
- Work independently and with other maintenance team members to keep equipment operating safely and efficiently.
Diesel Mechanic Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Diesel Mechanic, Diesel Technician, Heavy Equipment Mechanic, Truck Mechanic, or Fleet Mechanic preferred.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines and mechanical repair.
- Experience troubleshooting diesel trucks or heavy equipment.
- Knowledge of transmissions, hydraulics, electrical systems, and preventive maintenance is a plus.
- Ability to use computer-based diagnostic equipment and maintenance tracking systems.
- Understanding of DOT maintenance records and compliance requirements.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality repairs.
- Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a maintenance team.
- Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.
