CNC Machine Operator

Are you mechanically inclined and looking for an opportunity to grow your manufacturing career? We are seeking a reliable CNC Machine Operator to join a local Bloomington team. This position is ideal for someone with prior CNC experience who enjoys hands-on work, maintaining quality standards, and working in a fast-paced production environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating CNC equipment, performing quality checks, and ensuring parts meet specifications.

Job Summary

• Operate a Puma GT 2600 CNC machine in a production environment
• Load and unload materials and monitor machine operation throughout the production process
• Perform quality inspections using calipers, micrometers, thread gauges, and other precision measuring tools
• Make machine offsets and adjustments when parts are not meeting specifications
• Assist with sanding and deburring finished parts
• Remove metal shavings and scrap material, disposing of them properly
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Follow production schedules and quality standards
• Remain on your feet for the duration of the shift in a standing work environment

Experience

• Minimum of 1 year of CNC machining or CNC machine operation experience preferred
• Familiarity with Puma GT 2600 machines is a plus
• Experience performing quality inspections using precision measuring instruments

Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to read and use calipers, micrometers, thread gauges, and other measuring tools
• Understanding of machine offsets and basic machine adjustments
• Ability to perform machine calibration functions and operate machine controls
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the workday
• Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
• Ability to work independently and follow established procedures
• Commitment to workplace safety and housekeeping standards

Position Type: Evaluation-to-Hire

Pay: $20.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday–Thursday | 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM | OT Available
