Skilled Trades Recruiter – Maryland Heights, MO

This is an internal position. You'd be working for us — not placed with a client. We're Express Employment Professionals, a family-owned staffing franchise that's been operating in the St. Louis metro for over 30 years. We staff skilled trades, light industrial, and manufacturing roles, and we need someone who can keep our candidate pipeline full.

Your job is to find people. Electricians, welders, machinists, maintenance techs, forklift operators — the people our clients need to keep their floors running. You'll be on the phone, reaching out, screening candidates, and scheduling interviews all day. This is a high-volume recruiting role. What the Job Looks Like

• Source and recruit candidates for skilled trades and light industrial positions across the St. Louis metro
• Make outbound calls daily to build and maintain an active candidate pipeline
• Screen applicants, conduct interviews, and match candidates to open job orders
• Work closely with the sales team to fill orders quickly and keep clients happy
• Keep candidate records updated and accurate in our applicant tracking system
• Re-engage past candidates and build relationships that keep people coming back to Express first

What We're Looking For

• Someone who's comfortable on the phone and can hold a real conversation
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to juggle multiple open roles at once
• Self-motivated — you don't need someone standing over your shoulder to make calls
• Previous recruiting, customer service, HR, or staffing experience is a plus but not required
• Familiarity with skilled trades, manufacturing, or light industrial environments is helpful
• Reliable, consistent, and ready to show up and do the work every day
