Shipping & Receiving Clerk

Location: Ramsey, NJ
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $24.00 per hour

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Shipping & Receiving Clerk to join our team in Ramsey, NJ. This position is responsible for coordinating shipping and receiving activities, maintaining inventory accuracy, processing service orders, and supporting both the Service and Sales departments. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, shipping experience, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Receiving & Shipping Support

  • Receive customer equipment for repair by unpacking, inspecting, recording, and checking in items twice daily.
  • Place equipment in designated areas for technicians.
  • Sign off on shipment receipt notifications.
  • Set up new contact information in CRM, create service tickets, and issue return authorizations.
  • Process Returned Merchandise Authorizations (RMAs) in Infor CRM.
  • Assist and provide backup support to the Service and Sales departments with shipping activities.
  • Coordinate domestic and international shipments using UPS, FedEx, and DHL.
  • Prepare export documentation for service shipments.
  • Assist with Service Loaner agreements and inventory management.

Shipping & Warehouse Responsibilities

  • Oversee all shipping and receiving activities, ensuring timely order fulfillment and accurate inventory tracking.
  • Coordinate carrier pickups based on customer instructions and prepare shipping quotes as needed.
  • Label, package, and store goods in appropriate warehouse locations.
  • Maintain adequate stock of shipping materials and ensure proper packaging procedures.
  • Ensure warehouse cleanliness, organization, and compliance with safety standards.
  • Report defective materials and inventory discrepancies to the Logistics Specialist.
  • Provide inventory history and shipping information to internal departments.
  • Process service transfer orders in Infor CRM and maintain accurate material movement records.
  • Update SAP with inventory information, including weights, dimensions, and packaging details.
  • Overtime may be required.

Service & Support

  • Assist Service Technicians with calibrations.
  • Process service orders in SAP.
  • Prepare credits, rebills, tax adjustments, and Post Goods Issued (PGI) transactions for service orders.
  • Set up new customer accounts in CRM and SAP.
  • Answer and route customer phone calls to the appropriate customer service representative or technician.
  • File and maintain service documentation.

Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with SAP and Infor CRM is preferred.
  • Knowledge of domestic and international shipping and receiving procedures is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
