Hollow Metal Door & Frame Assembler

Pay: $18.00 – $20.00/hr (DOE)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Hollow Metal Door & Frame Assembler to join our production team. This role is responsible for assembling metal doors and frames according to work orders while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.

This is a great opportunity for candidates with manufacturing experience who are interested in developing welding skills—basic welding training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble hollow metal doors and frames based on specifications and work orders
• Perform basic fabrication and assembly tasks using hand and power tools
• Assist with welding tasks (training provided for entry-level candidates)
• Read and interpret measurements and shop drawings
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Support production needs across departments, including cross-training in wood door production
• Follow all safety and quality standards throughout the manufacturing process

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred
• Basic knowledge of steel, fabrication, or assembly processes is a plus
• Some welding experience is helpful but not required (training available)
• Ability to use standard shop tools and equipment (hand tools, tape measure, drills, saws, sanders, etc.)
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
• Ability to lift, push, and/or pull up to 60 lbs on a frequent basis
