A fine home furnishings company in East Los Angeles is seeking a Client Manager to serve as the primary point of contact for key clients while overseeing daily warehouse operations and leading a small receiving team. This role is ideal for someone who takes initiative, communicates clearly and professionally with clients and internal teams, and can effectively balance client needs, operational responsibilities, and team leadership in a fast-paced environment.
Client Manager Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, ensuring requests are handled accurately and on time
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication, responsiveness, and problem resolution
- Coordinate inventory releases and warehouse activities with internal teams and third-party partners
- Conduct inventory audits and investigate discrepancies
- Lead a small receiving team by prioritizing workloads, setting expectations, monitoring performance, and providing coaching and support
- Track operational data and maintain accurate records and reports
- Collaborate with multiple departments to resolve issues and keep projects moving forward
- Analyze workflows and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and service levels
Client Manager Requirements
- Experience managing client relationships in a fast-paced environment
- Prior experience supervising 2–5 employees, including task delegation, training, performance management, and team development
- Advanced Excel skills, including sorting, filtering, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data validation, and reporting
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Ability to work independently, take ownership of issues, and drive solutions
- Experience collaborating across departments to coordinate workflows and meet deadlines
- Ability to professionally resolve client and operational issues while maintaining positive working relationships
- Flexibility to support urgent client or operational needs outside of standard business hours when needed
