Yard Hand – Equipment Company

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Yard Hand to join our team. This position is responsible for cleaning, detailing, organizing, and maintaining equipment to ensure it is ready for customer use. The ideal candidate enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in their work, and can operate independently.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean, wash, and detail equipment to company standards
• Inspect equipment for damage, wear, or maintenance needs
• Perform basic maintenance tasks (fueling, checking fluids, minor repairs)
• Organize and maintain a clean, safe yard and storage areas
• Assist with loading and unloading equipment for customers
• Ensure equipment is customer-ready and presentable at all times
• Follow safety procedures and company policies
• Communicate any equipment issues to management promptly

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Strong attention to detail and work ethic
• Ability to lift and move heavy equipment (50+ lbs)
• Basic mechanical knowledge is a plus (not required)
• Dependable, punctual, and self-motivated
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Work Environment

• Primarily outdoors in a yard setting
• Exposure to weather conditions including heat, cold, rain, and dust
• Physical work requiring standing, lifting, and moving throughout the day

Schedule & Compensation

• Full-time / Part-time (customize as needed)
• Hourly pay based on experience
• Overtime may be available
