POSITION SUMMARY

 

The Machine Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining plastics manufacturing equipment to ensure accurate, efficient, and safe production and packaging of products. This includes setting up machinery, monitoring production lines, troubleshooting minor issues, and maintaining a clean and organized work area in compliance with all safety and quality standards.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Set up, operate, and monitor plastics manufacturing equipment including injection molding machines, extruders, and/or thermoforming equipment
• Inspect products for quality, dimensional accuracy, and packaging standards
• Perform basic troubleshooting and minor repairs on machines to minimize downtime
• Maintain accurate production records and adhere to daily production schedules
• Keep the production area clean, organized, and free from safety hazards
• Follow all safety, GMP, and quality control protocols
• Report equipment malfunctions or production issues to supervisors promptly
• Assist with mold changes, material changeovers, and line startups/shutdowns

 

REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior experience in plastics manufacturing, injection molding, or a related production environment preferred
• Mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for 8+ hours per shift
• Team-oriented with strong attention to detail and communication skills
• Willingness to adhere to strict safety and quality standards
• Ability to read and interpret work orders, production schedules, and standard operating procedures
