IT Support Technician

Location: Grayslake, IL (100% Onsite)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (No weekends or overtime)
Pay: $27.00/hour

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented IT Support Technician to provide hands-on technical support and maintain daily IT operations across our client's organization. This individual will play a key role in ensuring system performance, supporting end users, and maintaining hardware, software, and network functionality in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to end users by responding to questions and resolving issues related to hardware, software, and network systems
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems across desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices
• Install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, and operating systems
• Set up new employees with computers, email, and network access
• Maintain workstation performance and ensure systems are running efficiently
• Repair or replace damaged hardware components as needed
• Support and maintain IT operations, including operating systems, email systems (Office 365), and overall infrastructure
• Work closely with the IT Manager to support and maintain the company network
• Assist with ERP system (Epicor or similar) support for designated departments
• Monitor system performance and ensure continuity of services through ongoing maintenance
• Manage software installations, updates, and system configurations
• Purchase, track, and maintain inventory of hardware and software assets
• Provide support across remote locations and users as needed

Qualifications

• Proven experience in IT support, help desk, or systems maintenance
• Experience with Microsoft Office 365 administration
• Familiarity with ERP systems (Epicor preferred)
• Knowledge of operating systems, hardware systems, and network troubleshooting
• Understanding of Active Directory, system monitoring tools, backup and recovery processes
• Exposure to or strong interest in programming, query languages, or virtualization technologies
• Microsoft certifications are a plus

Physical Requirements
