Sales Operations Manager

Express Employment Professionals is recruiting for a Sales Operations Manager on behalf of a rapidly growing consumer products company expanding into Savannah, Georgia.

This position is ideal for professionals with experience managing wholesale and retail customer orders, inventory allocation, fulfillment coordination, invoicing, and e-commerce operations. The successful candidate will serve as the critical link between customers, inventory, warehouse operations, and transportation partners to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment.

This is not a traditional warehouse management position. We are seeking a detail-oriented operations professional with strong analytical skills and experience managing order flow, customer compliance requirements, inventory availability, and invoicing across multiple sales channels.

Key Responsibilities

Order Management & Inventory Allocation

Review and evaluate wholesale and retail customer orders.
Analyze inventory availability and determine order acceptance, allocation, or rejection.
Manage order prioritization to maximize customer fulfillment and inventory utilization.
Create customer-specific shipping labels and documentation.
Monitor order status and ensure timely execution.

Customer Fulfillment & Routing

Coordinate order routing and transportation scheduling.
Manage Advanced Ship Notices (ASN) and shipment confirmations.
Communicate shipment status updates to customers and internal teams.
Ensure compliance with customer routing guides and shipping requirements.
Support fulfillment across wholesale, retail, e-commerce, and direct-to-consumer channels.

Invoicing & Systems Management

Maintain shipment documentation, including Bills of Lading (BOLs).
Ensure accurate three-way matching of purchase orders, shipment confirmations, and invoices.
Process customer invoicing and monitor compliance-related deductions or chargebacks.
Generate operational reports and analyze order performance metrics.
Support inventory audits and data reconciliation efforts.

Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Support

Lead and develop a team of Operations Associates.
Cross-train team members on order management and customer fulfillment processes.
Collaborate closely with warehouse leadership, supply planning, and customer operations teams.
Provide weekly reporting on inbound and outbound activity.
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and customer service.

Qualifications

Required

3+ years of experience in order management, sales operations, customer operations, supply chain operations, inventory planning, or fulfillment management.
Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, reporting, and data analysis.
Experience managing customer orders from receipt through invoicing.
Understanding of inventory allocation and fulfillment workflows.
Experience working with ERP, WMS, OMS, or related business systems.
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred

Experience with Amazon Vendor Central (1P).
Experience with EDI transactions, ASN processing, and retail compliance requirements.
Experience supporting B2B, B2C, and D2C order fulfillment.
Experience working with major retailers such as Amazon, Walmart, Target, Dick's Sporting Goods, or similar accounts.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, or related field.
