Mitre Saw Operator (Temporary to Permanent)

We are currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Mitre Saw Operator to join the team of one of our manufacturing clients in the Mississauga area. This is a temporary-to-permanent opportunity with strong potential for long-term growth within a well-established company.

Training: Day Shift

After Training: Afternoon Shift

 

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, program, and operate mitre saws to cut materials according to specifications
• Read work orders and adjust machine settings for accurate production
• Measure and mark materials precisely before cutting
• Perform quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency
• Troubleshoot basic equipment issues and make adjustments as needed
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Follow all health and safety procedures
• Assist with general production duties as required

 

Requirements

• Previous experience operating and setting up mitre saws or similar cutting equipment preferred
• Ability to read and interpret measurements and technical drawings
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Dependable with a strong work ethic
• Willingness to train on day shift and transition to afternoons
