Location: South Bend, IN
Pay: $17.00–$20.00/hr, based on experience
Schedule: 10–12 hour shifts, 4 days per week
Start Time: Varies between 4:00 AM–6:00 AM
Training Start Time: Likely 6:00 AM during initial training
Dress Code/PPE: Casual dress code. Safety glasses required.

 

Position Overview:
We are seeking experienced Precision CNC Grinders in South Bend. This position is ideal for candidates with hands-on grinding experience, strong measurement skills, and the ability to work with tight tolerances. Candidates will not be responsible for programming but must be comfortable with basic grinder setup and quality checks.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate precision CNC grinding equipment
• Perform OD and ID grinding operations
• Complete basic setup of grinding machines as needed
• Read and interpret work instructions, prints, and specifications
• Use GD&T knowledge to verify parts meet customer requirements
• Measure finished parts using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring tools
• Hold tight tolerances consistently
• Inspect parts for accuracy, finish, and overall quality

Required Skills/Experience:

• Previous precision CNC grinding experience
• OD and/or ID grinding experience
• GD&T knowledge
• Ability to use micrometers and calipers accurately
• Experience working with tight tolerances
• Some grinder setup experience
• Ability to read prints and follow specifications
• Strong attention to detail and quality
