We are seeking a skilled and reliable HVAC Maintenance Technician to join our team at a senior living community. This role is responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing HVAC systems to ensure a safe, comfortable, and efficient environment for our residents and staff.
The ideal candidate has strong technical HVAC experience, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work respectfully in an occupied residential setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on HVAC systems, including heating, ventilation, and air conditioning units
- Diagnose and repair HVAC issues in residential units and common areas
- Complete preventative maintenance (PM) schedules to ensure optimal system performance
- Respond promptly to service requests and emergencies
- Maintain boilers, chillers, rooftop units, split systems, and thermostats (as applicable)
- Track and document work orders using a maintenance management system
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies
- Assist with general building maintenance tasks as needed (plumbing, electrical, etc.)
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace and mechanical areas
- Deliver excellent customer service when interacting with residents and staff
Required Qualifications
- EPA 608 Certification (required)
- 3+ years of HVAC maintenance and repair experience
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Working knowledge of residential and light commercial HVAC systems
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Valid driver’s license (if applicable)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in senior living, multi-family housing, or hospitality environments
- HVAC trade school certification or equivalent training
- NATE certification or other advanced HVAC credentials
- Experience with boilers, chillers, or building automation systems
