About the Job

We are seeking an experienced Brown & Sharpe Machinist / Precision Manual Machining Operator to join a high-quality manufacturing team. This role is ideal for a skilled machinist who takes pride in producing tight-tolerance, precision components in a production environment.

What You’ll Do

Set up and operate Brown & Sharpe precision manual machines (turret lathes / screw machines / similar equipment)
Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T specifications
Produce precision-machined parts to tight tolerances
Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and other measuring tools
Adjust tooling, machine settings, and setups to maintain quality standards
Ensure production efficiency, accuracy, and safety compliance

What We’re Looking For

3–5+ years of manual machining or precision machining experience preferred
Experience with Brown & Sharpe machines or similar equipment strongly preferred
Ability to read blueprints and understand GD&T
Strong knowledge of precision measuring tools
High attention to detail and quality-focused mindset
Ability to work independently in a production environment

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand for long periods (6–10 hour shifts)
Ability to lift up to 40–50 lbs occasionally
Good hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills
Comfortable working in a machine shop environment
