Maintenance Technician II USA PRKWAY

Seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Technician II to play a key role in maintaining the reliability, safety, and efficiency of our manufacturing operations. This position is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production equipment and facility infrastructure while supporting continuous operations in a fast-paced industrial environment. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities, a commitment to safety, and a passion for solving complex maintenance challenges.

Key Responsibilities

Equipment Maintenance & Repair

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems on production equipment.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and maintenance manuals.
  • Install, maintain, and repair production machinery and facility systems.
  • Perform plumbing, metalworking, fabrication, and general facility maintenance tasks.
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, electrical testing equipment, and material handling equipment safely and effectively.
  • Identify equipment deficiencies and report maintenance concerns promptly.
  • Complete high-quality repairs that improve equipment performance and reliability.

Preventive & Emergency Maintenance

  • Execute preventive maintenance programs on manufacturing equipment and facility infrastructure.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance issues and minimize production downtime.
  • Support maintenance team coverage and assist other technicians as needed.
  • Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis efforts during critical equipment failures.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Partner closely with Operations to support production goals and maintain equipment uptime.
  • Coordinate maintenance priorities with Lubrication, Janitorial, and Groundskeeping teams.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely procurement of parts and materials.
  • Assist in training and mentoring junior maintenance technicians.

Qualifications

Required

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Completion of a craft apprenticeship or equivalent combination of education and industrial maintenance experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of mechanical maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems.
  • Proven troubleshooting and repair experience.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred

  • Experience with PLC systems.
  • HVAC maintenance and repair experience.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Work Environment

  • Manufacturing facility environment with exposure to moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, fumes, and vibration.
  • Frequent exposure to elevated noise levels.
  • Compliance with all safety procedures and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements is mandatory.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, and climb throughout the workday.
  • Frequently lift, carry, and move items weighing 20+ pounds.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
  • Must be able to wear required PPE, including safety glasses.
  • Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
