Salary: $100,000 to $155,000

Express is partnering with Broder Electric, a trusted Ottawa electrical contractor, to hire an experienced Project Manager/Estimator. In this role, you’ll join a collaborative team, contribute to high‑quality project delivery, and help build strong client relationships from planning through completion.

Required skills and qualifications

• 8–10 years of experience in the electrical industry (ideally within ICI or Utilities), including a minimum of 5 years as a Project Manager and/or Estimator
• Proven experience managing large‑scale projects valued between $500K and $5M
• Strong working knowledge of CCDC 2
• Eligible for Secret‑Level Security Clearance (clean criminal record, 10 years of verifiable Canadian residency, and Permanent Resident or Canadian citizenship)
• Excellent English communication skills; French considered an asset
• PMP, P.Eng., and/or CET designations considered an asset
• Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Project, Word, and Excel
• Experience with Procore and Jonas is an asset
• Able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Valid driver’s license for site visits and client meetings
• Highly organized with the ability to adapt to shifting priorities

Duties may include, but are not limited to

• Manage a portfolio of complex projects across multiple scopes
• Provide on‑site leadership by motivating and guiding project teams to meet goals, responsibilities, and milestones
• Oversee full project life cycle, including reporting on success criteria and outcomes
• Prepare estimates and develop detailed project plans for all project phases
• Secure and coordinate the resources required to meet project objectives within planned timelines
• Deliver status updates on milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks, and issues to leadership
• Manage project scope and changes; lead or support feasibility studies, vendor evaluations, and proposal reviews
• Serve as an internal quality control checkpoint and support resolution of quality‑related issues
• Assist with dispute resolution, negotiations, arbitration, or litigation when required
• Support the development and maintenance of formal and informal schedules to manage contract obligations
• Define Statements of Work and Specifications for required goods and services
• Plan, coordinate, and manage all aspects of project and program execution, including vendor relations, communication, resources, budget, change management, risks, and issues
• Ensure projects progress according to scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards
• Identify, track, and mitigate project risks and issues to protect baseline commitments

Salary: $100,000 to $155,000 per year depending on experience

Typical Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 3:30pm, overtime is required at times depending on workload and deadlines.
