Express Employment Professionals is hiring a General Laborer for a local light industrial company near Fountain Lakes in Saint Charles. This is a daytime, weekday position paying $17/hour with steady hours and real training provided.

The Role

You will be pulling orders from pick tickets and preparing shipments in a warehouse environment. Tasks include lifting, rerolling, and cutting wire and cable, plus some janitorial duties as needed.

You will be trained to operate an order picker (cherry picker) and to identify different cable and rope dimensions. No prior wire or cable experience is required, but it is definitely a plus.

What You Will Do Day to Day

• Pull orders accurately using pick tickets
• Cut, reroll, and handle wire and cable product
• Identify cable and rope sizes by dimension (for example, knowing that 1/8 is larger than 1/16)
• Look up parts and orders in a computer system
• Prepare finished orders for shipment
• Perform light janitorial tasks as assigned
• Learn and operate an order picker / cherry picker (training provided)

What We Are Looking For

• Solid basic math skills: addition, subtraction, and fractions are used daily on this job
• Ability to compare fractional sizes (example: identifying which fraction is larger)
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when pulling and preparing orders
• Basic computer skills for looking up parts in an inventory system
• Punctuality and flexibility within an 8 AM to 5 PM window
• Dependable work ethic and willingness to learn

Schedule and Pay

• Shift: 8 AM to 4 PM, Monday through Friday
• Pay: $17/hour
• Weekly pay
