Responsibilities

  • Train to operate various manual machinist tools used to bore holes into engine blocks
  • Assist in all phases of internal combustion engine lower-end rebuilding, including:
    • Engine blocks
    • Bearings
    • Crankshafts
  • Use precision measuring instruments such as:
    • Micrometers
    • Dial indicators
  • Operate shop equipment including:
    • Grinders
    • Tool cutters
    • Hydraulic press equipment
  • Maintain accuracy and attention to detail in all machining processes

Qualifications

  • Strong math and measurement skills required
  • Mechanical aptitude or interest in machining/engine repair preferred
  • Ability to learn and operate manual machinery
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality work
