Residential Maintenance Technician

Pay: $22/hour, depending on experience
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM
Location: Northeast Portland

We're looking for an experienced, self-motivated Residential Maintenance Technician to join our team. This position offers a consistent Monday–Friday schedule and the opportunity to work independently across a portfolio of residential properties throughout the Portland area.

You'll spend most of your time working independently, managing your workload and completing maintenance tasks with minimal supervision. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship and can be trusted to get the job done right the first time.

Responsibilities

  • Complete unit turnovers and prepare residential units for new tenants
  • Perform drywall repairs, patching, and texture matching
  • Complete interior painting, including walls, trim, and ceilings
  • Handle carpentry and finish work, including:
    • Cabinet door repairs
    • Hardware installation and replacement
    • Trim repair and installation
  • Perform basic plumbing repairs and installations, including:
    • Faucet replacement
    • Toilet repairs
    • Fixture swaps
  • Perform basic electrical work, including:
    • Outlet and switch replacement
    • Cover plate installation
    • Light fixture replacement
  • Install and repair flooring, including:
    • Luxury vinyl plank (LVP)
    • Transition strips
    • Minor tile work
  • Document completed work using the company app on your smartphone

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience installing flooring, baseboards, and trim, including luxury vinyl plank (LVP)
  • Minimum of 1 year of hands-on maintenance, renovation, or remodeling experience
  • Strong drywall repair and texture-matching skills (required)
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Reliable, punctual, and committed to high-quality workmanship
  • Valid Oregon driver's license
  • Smartphone with an active data plan (required for job tracking and documentation)
  • Must provide your own tools
  • Must be able to provide photos of previous maintenance, renovation, or remodeling work
