We are seeking a detail-driven Quality Inspector with hands-on experience in metal manufacturing and fabrication inspection. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working on the production floor, takes pride in precision, and has strong measuring skills.
If you have experience using calipers, micrometers, and reading blueprints, and you enjoy making sure parts are done right the first time — this role is built for you.
Inspect incoming, in-process, and finished metal parts for quality and accuracy
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
Use precision measuring tools including calipers, micrometers, rulers, and height gauges
Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records
Identify and tag non-conforming parts based on specifications
Verify travelers, BOMs, and routing requirements are followed
Enter and organize inspection data using Microsoft Excel spreadsheets
Communicate findings clearly with production and leadership teams
Support ISO and quality compliance standards
Help drive continuous improvement and maintain a strong quality culture
Prior metal manufacturing or fabrication inspection experience REQUIRED
Strong experience with calipers and micrometers (must be confident using both)
Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
Basic to intermediate Excel skills (data entry, spreadsheets, tracking)
Understanding of manufacturing quality standards and tolerances
Familiarity with ISO 9001, SPC, PPAP, or FAI (preferred but not required)
Extremely detail-oriented — notices what others miss
Comfortable saying “no” when parts are out of spec
Dependable with strong attendance history
Calm and professional in a fast-paced production environment
Strong communicator with production teams and supervisors
Organized and consistent with documentation
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout a manufacturing floor
Frequent use of hands for measuring and inspection tasks
Ability to lift up to 10 lbs as needed
Comfortable working in a loud, industrial environment with PPE required
Stable Monday–Friday schedule (no weekends)
