The Director of Finance oversees risk management, information systems, legal matters, and financial data. This role is key in financial negotiations, banking, investor relations, and shaping financial strategy, while also being part of the senior management team.

Scope

Responsible for financial information across all locations.

Key Activities/Responsibilities

• Financial Statements: Prepare consolidated financial statements and ensure timely, accurate reporting.
• Budgeting: Develop annual budgets and analyze monthly variances.
• Cash Management: Oversee cash management and treasury functions, including forecasting cash availability.
• Acquisitions: Engage in financial and operational due diligence for future acquisitions.
• Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and align production with sales projections.
• Accounts Receivable: Review aging accounts receivable and ensure timely collections.
• Fixed Assets: Maintain asset systems and develop capital expenditure budgets.
• Risk Management: Analyze insurance coverage and provide risk management recommendations.
• Legal Compliance: Maintain necessary legal documents and policies.
• Strategic Direction: Help set and implement strategic objectives while managing daily operations.
• JSox Compliance: Oversee compliance processes and manage internal audit responses.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s in Accounting; MBA or MS in Accounting/Finance preferred; CPA is a plus.
• Experience: Background as Corporate Controller, CFO, or Finance Director; familiarity with mid-sized manufacturing operations.
• Skills: Integrity, strategic thinking, strong communication, organizational skills, teaching ability, and deadline management.
