Development Coordinator (Temporary)
Location: Central Phoenix
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $25/hour
Duration: Approximately 14 weeks (starting July)


Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Development Coordinator to support our fundraising and development initiatives on a temporary basis. This role is essential to advancing our mission by helping manage donor relationships, coordinate meetings and events, and assist with grant and fundraising efforts.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and passionate about making a meaningful impact in a nonprofit environment.


Key Responsibilities

Donor Relations

  • Maintain and update donor databases, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
  • Support donor stewardship initiatives and engagement strategies
  • Prepare donor acknowledgment letters, thank-you notes, and related correspondence
  • Coordinate communications including newsletters, email outreach, and social media content

Board Coordination

  • Prepare agendas, meeting materials, and handouts
  • Update and manage information 
  • Track and maintain attendance records

Fundraising Support

  • Assist in planning and execution of fundraising campaigns and events
  • Conduct research to identify potential grant opportunities
  • Support grant writing efforts through research and reporting

Administrative Support

  • Prepare materials for meetings, presentations, and reports
  • Correspond with board members, donors, and stakeholders on behalf of the Development Team
  • Collaborate with the Database Manager on donor acknowledgment processes
  • Assist with logistical coordination for fundraising events

Skills & Competencies

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven project management skills (timelines, budgets, and coordination)
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse groups, including clients, volunteers, staff, board members, donors, and community partners
  • High level of initiative, professionalism, and flexibility
  • Strong follow-through on projects and assignments
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
