Job Title: Self Storage Customer Service and Office Admin
Schedule: Saturday & Sunday plus mid-week days. Generally 7:30am-6pm (OT possible)
Pay Range: Starting at $22 per hour
Description:
Local Self Storage facility seeking responsible, highly detail-oriented and dependable Customer Service / Office Admin. Responsibilities include opening the business, renting space, issuing/monitoring security codes, and customer service. This position is best suited for someone who thrives in a structured environment, learns quickly, and takes pride in following established procedures with a high level of accuracy.
Responsibilities:
- Open and close the facility according to established procedures, including securing the property
- Deliver in-person and phone-based customer service, including renting units and responding to inquiries
- Assign and communicate gate access codes to renters, ensuring accuracy and compliance with procedures
- Enter data and maintain accurate, up-to-date customer records
- Process payments and assist with basic bookkeeping tasks
- Maintain a clean, organized office environment
- Prepare storage units for move-ins and move-outs (light cleaning and upkeep)
- Assist with retail sales of storage-related products
- Receive and organize storage-related inventory as needed
Qualifications:
- Prior customer service or administrative experience preferred
- Comfortable using computers and learning new systems
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Dependable, punctual, and accountable
- Open to feedback and coaching
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities
- Ability to learn procedures quickly and apply them consistently
- Comfort working in a structured, process-driven environment
- Reliability and consistency in daily operations
- Professional, friendly, and patient customer interactions
- Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy
- Presents a professional, polished appearance appropriate for a customer-facing environment
- Maintains focus and attentiveness during work hours, minimizing personal phone use
- Willingness to support all aspects of facility operations, including light cleaning and occasional trash removal
- Takes pride in maintaining a clean, orderly, and welcoming environment for customers
