Express Employment Professionals is recruiting for a Director of Operations on behalf of a local nonprofit organization.

Are you a motivated leader who enjoys making a meaningful impact in your community? We are seeking a Director of Operations to help lead and support a mission-driven nonprofit organization dedicated to serving local families. This position offers a unique opportunity to work closely with executive leadership while overseeing daily operations, compliance, human resources, technology systems, and organizational growth initiatives.

Schedule:

• Full-Time
• Monday – Thursday
• 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (32-hour work week)

Compensation & Benefits:

• Starting Salary: $44,000 annually
• PTO
• Paid Holidays
• $300 Monthly Insurance Stipend after 12 months of employment

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure organizational compliance with policies, procedures, and nonprofit regulations.
• Maintain required government and industry registrations.
• Support all areas of the organization, including family services, volunteer services, fundraising, finance, public relations, and retail operations.
• Oversee background checks for employees, volunteers, and program applicants.
• Maintain employee records and personnel files.
• Manage workers' compensation claims and documentation.
• Serve as Safety Officer and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Officer.
• Provide leadership and support for CRM systems, and Google for Nonprofits.
• Assist with planning and participating in fundraising events.
• Partner with the Executive Director on strategic planning and organizational growth initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Organizational Management, Business Administration, Human Services, or a related field; comparable work experience may be considered.
• Minimum of two years of operational management experience.
• Experience in areas such as human resources, financial management, resource development, quality control, mortgage procedures, real estate, construction, or nonprofit operations.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and strategic thinking skills.
• Experience with CRM systems such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Giveffect, or similar platforms.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace and Google for Nonprofits.
• Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with staff, volunteers, donors, and community partners.

Requirements

• Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, kneel, squat, climb stairs, and lift up to 20 pounds.
• Ability to navigate uneven terrain, including construction sites.
• Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Clean driving record required.
• Must pass a drug screen and background check.
