Front Counter Associate
Located in Dallastown, PA
Salary: $18-$20/hr DOE
Hours: Monday-Friday, 7am-3:30pm. Potential Saturdays, but not a full day.
Dress code: Jeans and a plain t-shirt/Company’s shirt. No rips, holes, tears, or anything offensive. Sneakers.
Job Description:
POSITION SUMMARY
The Front Counter Associate is responsible for providing exceptional customer service by assisting customers with product selection, order processing, and general inquiries. This role serves as a key point of contact for customers and supports daily store operations. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, dependable, and willing to assist in all areas of the store as needed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Greet customers and provide friendly, professional service.
• Assist customers with product selection and answer questions regarding plumbing supplies and related products.
• Process sales transactions, quotes, orders, and returns accurately.
• Answer incoming phone calls and direct inquiries appropriately.
• Assist customers with locating products throughout the store and warehouse.
• Stock shelves and maintain product displays.
• Receive, organize, and put away incoming inventory.
• Help load customer purchases when needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Support other departments and assist with store operations as needed.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Basic computer and point-of-sale (POS) system proficiency.
• Ability to learn product knowledge and apply it to customer needs.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to assist throughout the store wherever needed.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move products as needed.
• Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and perform repetitive movements throughout the workday.
• Ability to work in both customer-facing and warehouse environments.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Previous customer service, retail, plumbing supply, hardware, or warehouse experience preferred.
• Knowledge of plumbing products and materials is a plus but not required.
• Forklift experience is beneficial but not required.
